i was thinking of the "Finlandization" of Canada. a term used to describe how Canada tailors it's policies so as not to be too out of step with our gargantuan neighbor to the south, as Finland would do so as not to displease the former USSR. and how these policies will move yet more in line with the neocons given the all-but-inevitable Conservative victory in a weeks time.

perhaps Finland now worries about it's Canadianization.

i was listening to the song "seeing red" (excellent song btw) by Killing Joke and where he sings:

"...oh to be an Englishman
and kiss the ass of Uncle Sam..." and inserting the word Canadian for Englishman.
